What is Edesy Commerce?

Software for running your own online shop. You get a storefront on your own domain, a back office, GST invoicing, payments and delivery — without paying a marketplace a commission on every order.

How is it different from a marketplace?

A marketplace rents you a shelf and keeps the customer. Here the store is yours: your domain, your branding, your customer list, and payments settle into your own account.

Do I need a GSTIN?

To issue tax invoices, yes. You can run the store and take orders before you have one, but invoices cannot be raised until the GSTIN is recorded.

Can I price jewellery by weight?

Yes, and this is the part the platform was built around. You publish the day's rate and every piece reprices from its own weight, making charge, wastage and stone value.

What happens to my data if I leave?

You export your catalogue, customers and orders as CSV and go. There is no lock-in beyond the month you have paid for.

Do you see my payment details?

No. Razorpay's hosted checkout means card details never reach our servers, and your gateway keys are encrypted at rest.

Can two shops share one account?

Yes, on the multi-store plan. Each store's data is isolated from the other at the database level, not by application code remembering to filter.

Which languages does the storefront support?

English today. Regional language storefronts are on the roadmap and not yet built — worth saying plainly rather than implying otherwise.
